As every summer and winter, to deal with accidents related to mountain climbing, the Chamonix Hospital is opening a seasonal unscheduled care center. Managed by the Hospitals of the Mont-Blanc region, the Chamonix Emergencies will be active from Saturday 10 July to Sunday 29 August, every day, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Two nurses, a doctor and a radio operator will be continuously on duty. This mobilization is carried out in conjunction with the systems already in place, including the nursing home and the consultation center of Chamonix Hospital (obstetric-gynecology, medical and surgical consultations, midwifery consultations, medical and surgical hospital consultations).
Last winter, despite hospital strain and government travel restrictions related to the pandemic situation, the Chamonix Emergencies Hospital was opened. The service's activity mainly concerned mountain trauma (more than 84% of interventions).
