Several rescue interventions in recent days for the Chamonix High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM).
Sunday 1 May 2022:
The PGHM intervened in the Vallée Blanche in the Grand Envers. A skier lost a ski and was brought down to the mountain rescue helicopter base.
In the afternoon, a paraglider missed his takeoff from Plan Praz. But in the end, he found himself in the branches of a tree and was not injured. He was left in place.
Saturday 30 April 2022:
Around 2:30 p.m., the Chamonix high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) assisted a 50-year-old English skier who had fallen while off-piste.
The rescue intervention took place in the Grands Montets area, in the town of Chamonix. The fifty-year-old suffered from a head trauma when the emergency services arrived with possible loss of consciousness. She was transported to the Annecy-Genevois hospital center.
Wednesday 27 April 2022:
Around 1:30 p.m., a steep skier in his thirties unscrewed 200 meters in the Capucin couloir, in its most sustained part.
But luck was with this climber. He escaped with a few scratches on his face and several bruises. Slightly injured, he was evacuated to Sallanches hospital.
