Less than a month ago, the International Olympic Committee produced a list of eight disciplines which could be added to the Olympic Games. Climbing is on this famous "short list". The sport fulfills all the IOC requirements in terms of both sporting and media interest. The Climbing World Championships next year are scheduled for the 15 and 16 September 2012 at Paris Bercy. And then, in 2013, the IOC will decide, during its 125th meeting in Rio de Janeiro, if rock climbing will be in the Olympic program for the 2020 Games.
